Project Mental Health
I have been working on a mental health awareness initiative for a time. I have found that while music heals the soul, several videos' synchronization attracts the audience to the message being delivered. This video project captures teenagers' voices. "IT'S OKAY TO NOT BE OKAY."
Adding stigma to mental health is like adding darkness to the sky already devoid of stars.
The need of the hour is to remove these barriers of stigma and let humanity flourish. Covid-19 can be seen, as a revolutionary era for the emergence of the awareness of Psychology. Throwing light on how difficult it is to express inner agony, it is easier to relay physical torment.
Before Covid-19 human beings had a different perception of being okay. People who kept things to themselves and pretended to act stable were considered okay, whereas those who spoke up were considered weak. To the world's relief, growing mental health awareness has ensured that reaching out is no longer stigmatized. Even famous athletes whose lives are romanticized including Kevin
Love, Simon, Naomi Osaka, and Simone Biles have solemnly propagated mental health expressing how not being okay is acceptable.
The world has to realize that not everyone has the same capabilities; therefore, it is never wrong to ask for help. Furthermore, spreading awareness is not enough. The education system should include mental health in the curriculum. To conclude;
normalizing treatment for mental health illnesses is the need of the hour.
